South Salon founder, Victoria Sumbillo has been traveling the world, one fashion capital at a time, picking up beauty secrets along the way. To keep the skills and techniques in hairdressing updated and dynamic, she’s always on a quest to learn from the leaders in hairdressing. She brings back what she learns and passes these along to her stylists at South Salon so they too can become truly great hairdressers.

In her recent trip to New York, she visited TIGI, one of the most advanced hairdressing academies in the world. Here, she acquired cutting-edge techniques in coloring and cutting that she can apply to her clients so they can have the newest styles. Also while in NYC, she stopped by MAC Cosmetic’s flagship store. From their vast collection of makeup in a dazzling array of colors, Vicky picked up some fabulous finds for South Salon. By adding these to their selection of maquillage, clients get to have unique make-up looks that they won’t find anywhere else in the Philippines.

After her visit to New York, her next stop was California where she learned techniques from Paul Mitchell. A pioneer in luxury hair care, the Paul Mitchell brand is globally recognized for teaching beauty professionals the skills they need to master the craft of hairdressing.

Vicky Sumbillo wants only the best for her clients here in Manila. This is why she is always going the distance to put new skills and products under her belt. It’s exciting to see where her next journey will take her and what advances in the art of hairdressing she will come back with.
